WE ARE BEIGNET BELLY...
ARTISANS OF BEIGNETS
Pronounced ben-yay, it's a French term for fritter or fried dough.
So what are beignets? Beignets are magical French donuts... crisp on the outside and light on the inside. They were made popular by Café Du Monde in New Orleans and became the official state donut of Louisiana in 1986. Beignets are fried, raised pieces of yeast dough, usually about 2” diameter or 2” square. After being fried, they’re sprinkled with powdered sugar or coated with various icings. Beignets are like a sweet donut, square-shaped and without a hole.
Our beignets are hand-crafted, carefully packaged, then brought to each event where they’re prepared right before consumption… fresh and hot!
